I absolutely love this movie, I have watched it a million times or more.The story the characters and actors that play them all did an amazing job bringing this movie to the screens..Oddball is my favourite so funny and I also love the song at the end of the film.

1980 May, our 1SG took the Company to the Theater to watch this and The Big Red One. We were a infantry Unit from Wayne NE, thank you CSM Spangler and CPT Burus

I wonder if those scars on the German tank commander’s face were real? The scars on a German officer were a real thing back in WW2. These were educated men that did the sport. They purposely got them from sword fighting. Mensur was German sword fighting where they purposely scarred each other’s faces. They’d even put a thread or string in the fresh wound to make the scar more predominant after it healed. Weird sh!t huh??

Love this flick (of course). Oddball buying the Tiger after their windfall reminds me of an episode of Taxi where Jim Igniatowski wins $10k and buys the horse to live in his apartment until it unfortunately dies.

The fact they kept in all the things we shouldn’t see as visual gags is amazing. Here’s a list of ones I’ve seen: The glass of the jukebox being repaired between shots The arm of the crew member throwing Hays’ jacket back at him The obvious doll being hauled into the ceiling while Julie just jumps into his arms from in front of him The more subtle wires holding Hays as Julie spins him around Hays being clearly visible waiting for the stuntman to finish his landing Wires still being visible while hays does the Russian Dance

I have watched this movie in my native Poland around year 1975 I was 10.First show was at 2 pm.It shocked me (in positive way) so much that I watched that again at 4 , 6 and 8 pm.Four times in one day...........Good times

No matter how many times I see this film, I never get "fed-up" with it. It's a beautiful mother of a film and the cast is magnificent.

Best War movie ever.

I love how Karl-Otto Alberty´s eyes are open wide up, when he hears that there´s gold in the bank. Also, Savalas lighting up a cig, after he´s told that the fuel line of the Tiger is leaking gasoline all over the place.

A wise man once said : " as a soldier, you can fight and kill the enemy ( and possibly get killed yourself) or you can make a deal with the enemy! " Obviously , we can guess which decision was made 😂😂😂 RIP " oddball " ❤

My fellow Canadian Donald Sutherland was a legend but I always thought Oddball was his best - its's amazing how a guy from the Maritimes made it big in Hollywood. He was always good in every role he played.

First film I had to have a copy of, had it on VHS, still got it on dvd. First film I shared with my kid's, we all loved Oddball❤

This scene opens with a humorous tribute to Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns starring Eastwood (note the music score), and only Oddball seems to get it, lol.
